Liver pate is a very satisfying appetizer that can be a quick snack or an appetizer for a festive table. It is best to prepare the dish at home as it will be more budget-friendly and you will be sure of the quality of the products you are whipping. For a better taste, you need to add one very simple ingredient: mushrooms.
The idea of making a delicious liver pate with mushrooms was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna with the nickname cooking_with_gala. The stewed liver should be cooled before whipping.
Ingredients:
- 30 ml of olive oil
- 500 g of mushrooms
- 2 onions
- 1 kg of chicken liver
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1.5 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp of red pepper
- 50 g of butter
- 125 g of Philadelphia cheese
Method of preparation:
1. Stew mushrooms in oil.
2. Add chopped onion.
3. Simmer for 10 minutes until the onions are tender.
4. Add liver and simmer under the lid for 10-15 minutes.
5. Add salt and seasoning at the very end.
6. Stir everything and simmer for 2 minutes.
7. Cool until warm, transfer to a blender and add cheese.
8. Beat until smooth.
9. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days and in the freezer for up to 6 months.
