Beets are a versatile and always available vegetable that can be used to make light salads for every day. It can be deliciously combined with cheese, and a delicious sour cream and garlic dressing can be used instead of mayonnaise.
Food blogger Oksana Dorosh (oksana_dorosh_rezeptu) shared a recipe for a beetroot and cheese salad without mayonnaise on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- beets - 1 pc
- garlic - 1 clove
- hard cheese
- sour cream
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Boil or bake the beets in advance. When ready, grate on a coarse grater. Add salt.
2. Chop the garlic and mix it with the sour cream.
3. Grate the cheese.
4. Put the salad: beets, dressing, cheese. The salad can be served on a plate or in a glass.
