Tens of thousands of people come to the Carpathians every year. Some come to go skiing or do other winter sports. Others come to climb the highest point of Ukraine or other peaks of the Carpathian Mountains in summer.
But, having come to the Carpathians, all these people have one more common goal. It's about tasting the legendary Carpathian mushroom soup, which turns out to be a favorite dish of molfars. And thanks to a food blogger named aleshnya, you can now enjoy this dish at home. It was she who posted the recipe for the Carpathian mushroom soup on Instagram.
Ingredients
- Dried mushrooms - 40 gr
- Water - 2 liters
- Flour - 1 tbsp
- Onion - ½ pc
- Carrots - 1 pc
- Cream or sour cream - 50 g
- Butter - 30 gr
Method of preparation
1. Cover the mushrooms with water and leave for 15 minutes.
2. Without changing the water, put the mushrooms on the fire and cook for 1 hour.
3. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry the vegetables in half the butter.
4. In another pan, melt the other half of the butter, add sour cream or cream, and flour.
5. Add a little mushroom broth to the mixture and stir until completely smooth. Continue to add the broth until ½ of its volume is in the pan.
6. Pour the mixture into the broth, add vegetables, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and serve.
