Lean apple cookies: a delicious dessert to cheer you up

Sometimes you just need to eat something tasty and sweet to cheer up. However, people who observe Lent are subject to certain restrictions on food consumption. In order not to break the fast and still satisfy your sweet tooth, you can make your own treat.

Food blogger Lisa Glinska shared her recipe for lean apple cookies. On Instagram, she explained how to make the cookies so that the kitchen is filled with a delicious aroma.

Ingredients

  • Grated apples - 200 gr
  • Coconut oil - 80 gr
  • Baking powder - 8 gr
  • Flour - 200 gr
  • Sugar - 40 g
  • Ground cinnamon - 1-2 g

Method of preparation

1.Peel the apples and grate them on a fine grater.

2. Add sugar and melted coconut oil.

3. Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon.

4. Sift the dry mixture into the apple mixture and mix until smooth.

5. Put the dough between two sheets of parchment and roll out a 3 mm thick layer.

6. Put the dough in the freezer for 1-1.5 hours.

7. Remove the parchment from the dough and cut it into squares or rectangles.

8. Put the dough on a parchment and put it in the oven to bake for 15-18 minutes at 175 degrees.
