Khachapuri with strawberries and cheese: how to prepare this original dessert

We are all used to salty khachapuri with hard cheese and eggs. But this pastry can also be made sweet. Sweet and juicy strawberries are perfect for this.
The idea of making sweet khachapuri with strawberries was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Valeria Veligura (yummy.lera). The dough for this pastry is very fluffy and elastic.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 90 ml of warm milk
- 3 g of dry or 9 g of live yeast
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- a pinch of salt ⠀
Ingredients for the dough:
- 150 g sifted flour
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
Ingredients for the filling:
- 200 g of cottage cheese
- 50 g of cream cheese
- 50 g of sugar
- 1 egg white
Method of preparing the dough:
1. Combine warm milk, yeast, sugar and salt.
2. Cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes.
How to make the dough:
1. Add the dough to the sifted flour and knead a soft, elastic dough.
2. Add the oil and knead well again.
3. Grease a deep bowl with oil, put our dough in it, and grease it with oil on top.
4. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
Method of preparation of the filling:
1. Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sugar and egg white (optional).
2. After that, sprinkle the dough with flour, knead it, divide it into 2 parts and roll each into a circle.
3. Form boats and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
4. Put the cottage cheese filling in the center and fresh strawberries on top. Brush the edges with egg yolk mixed with milk and bake in a preheated 200-degree oven for 20 minutes.
5. Serve with fresh strawberries, creamy ice cream, powdered sugar, and mint.
