Just water, salt and sugar: how to pickle tomatoes quickly without fuss

Pickled tomatoes are considered to be quite healthy because they are cooked without the addition of vinegar. All the important trace elements of the vegetable are preserved. And if you use the following technology, you will also prepare such a preparation very quickly, because you will need only 3 simple ingredients for the brine.

The idea of cooking simple pickled tomatoes in a three-ingredient brine was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Vitalina with the nickname vitala_foodblog. The vegetables remain juicy and do not fall apart in the jar.

Ingredients for the brine:

  • 1.5 liters of cold water
  • 105 g of salt
  • 1 tbsp. sugar

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the tomatoes and leaves well.

2. Put the leaves, garlic, tomatoes, garlic, leaves again on the bottom of the jar.

3. For the brine, add salt and sugar to cold water, stir.

4. Pour the brine over the tomatoes, cover the jar with a nylon lid, and leave it warm for 3 days.

5. Put it in the refrigerator.

6. After cooling, you can eat. If the taste does not seem very expressive yet, leave the tomatoes to ferment for a while longer.
