Juicy pie with whole apples: tastier than charlotte

Apples are very juicy and flavorful fruits. Therefore, it will be delicious if you put them in the pie whole and add cottage cheese. This dessert will definitely be better than the classic charlotte.
The idea of making a pie with whole apples and cottage cheese was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna Kozachuk (irina_kozachuk). The filling is very juicy.
Ingredients:
- 300 g flour
- 150 g of butter
- 250 g of cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 5 apples (equal in size, small)
- 1 yolk + 1 tbsp of milk
- 2 tbsp of sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Beat cottage cheese with a blender.
2. Add soft butter and grind with cottage cheese.
3. Add egg and sugar and mix well.
4. Add flour and baking powder. Knead the dough.
5. Roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
6. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll them into two rectangles.
7. Cover a baking sheet with parchment. Put one part of dough.
8. Peel apples and cut them in half. Put them on the dough. You can put dates, dried apricots and nuts in the middle or sprinkle the apples with cinnamon.
9. Cover with the second part of dough. Pinch the edges.
10. Grease with egg yolk mixed with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
11. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
