Every person who has ever tasted olives has wondered if they are dyed.
The fact is that natural black olives are just ripe olives. Therefore, producers can simply pick the product while it is still green, and then paint part of it black.
That's why food blogger Ruslana with the nickname ruslana.gala shared how to distinguish natural black olives from dyed ones on her Instagram page. You can do this in the store.
Pay attention to the composition
If you see that a jar of olives contains ferrous gluconate E 579 and ferrous lactate E 585, it means that the olives are dyed.
This is not harmful to the body, but the taste and texture of real black olives are different.
If you have chosen high-quality and tasty olives, you can make a delicious Greek salad with them. The idea was shared by food blogger Olha Chymych (olha.chymych) on her Instagram page.
