How to serve mashed potatoes in an interesting way: one ingredient will help
Even seemingly ordinary mashed potatoes can be served interestingly and originally. To make the dish tender and flavorful, butter, milk, or cream is usually added to it. In addition, mashed potatoes can be supplemented with vegetables, namely carrots. It will give the dish a fresh, pleasant flavor and a bright appearance.
Food blogger Roksolana Harasymiv (roksolana.harasymiv) shared a recipe for tender mashed potatoes with carrots on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 2-3 pcs.
- carrots – 1 pc
- cream\milk – 20 ml
- Ghee – 1\2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Boil potatoes and carrots until tender.
2. Mash the cooked potatoes to a state of mashed potatoes together with milk/cream and butter.
3. Blend the carrots separately in a blender until mashed. Mix with potatoes.
