Although oatmeal is an absolutely banal, yet very tasty, hearty and quick breakfast option that can be prepared in just 5 minutes and without any extra effort. Usually, most people are used to cooking oatmeal with milk, although this is not entirely correct. In this case, the cereal loses most of its flavor and can sometimes stick to the pan.

The recipe for perfect and properly cooked oatmeal with milk was shared by food blogger Anna Stankevich (anny.cooking) on her Instagram page.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • water - 100 ml
  • oatmeal - 2 tbsp
  • milk - 200 ml
  • butter - 1 piece
  • salt, sugar, dried fruits, berries, fruits - optional

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water into a saucepan, add oatmeal and bring to a boil over low heat.

2. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring in the cereal. Cook for a few minutes until the desired consistency.

3. Add a piece of butter when serving.

4. You can also add dried fruits, berries, or vegetables to the oatmeal for more nutrition.

The food blogger also advises to give preference to flattened oatmeal, because it is much healthier and contains a large amount of fiber.
