How to preserve zucchini with ketchup for the winter: the easiest recipe

Zucchini with ketchup for the winter is one of the favorite preserves in many Ukrainian families. The vegetables have a sweet and sour taste and are very crispy. In winter, you can open them and eat them with any side dish or meat.
The idea of cooking zucchini with ketchup for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food bloggerYulia Simonchuk(cook_julia_simonchuk). The marinade is very simple and budget-friendly.
Ingredients:
- zucchini
- water - 7 cups
- vinegar - 1 cup
- sugar - 1 cup
- salt - 2 tbsp
- chili ketchup - 1 pack
- garlic - a few cloves
Method of preparation:
1. Pour water into a saucepan, add vinegar, salt, sugar and ketchup.
2. Put on the fire until the salt and sugar dissolve.
3. Meanwhile, chop the zucchini and put it in clean jars, and put the chopped garlic in between.
4. Pour the marinade over the zucchini.
5. Cover with lids, put on fire (put in a saucepan with a cloth on the bottom and cover with water) and sterilize for 15 minutes from boiling.
6. Twist with a key and turn the lid down.
7. Store in a cool place.
