Birch sap season is in full swing. This spring drink is definitely worth preserving for the winter because it's much better than drinking sweet store-bought water with dyes. However, birch sap has no pronounced flavor, so a few simple ingredients are needed.
A simple recipe for canned birch sap for the winter was shared by blogger Kateryna (katya.vengerska) on Instagram. You can choose any addition to your taste: citrus, candy, or dried fruit.
Ingredients for a 3-liter jar:
- sugar - 200 g
- citric acid - 1/2 tsp.
- orange/candy/dried fruit/lemon/kiwi/raisins or something of your choice
Method of preparation:
1. Strain birch sap.
2. Put on the fire.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Pour everything into the jar in proportions.
5. Pour the juice over.
6. Close the lids.
7. Turn the jars over.
8. Cover until completely cooled. Take them to the basement or cellar.
