How to prepare Italian-style sun-dried tomatoes properly

Sun-dried tomatoes are something every hostess should have in her fridge. In addition to being a great appetizer on its own, it is also an addition to soups, pates, sauces and salads. Preparing dried tomatoes is very easy at home, the main thing is to do it properly.
Food blogger Inna Kalancha (inulka_kalancha) shared a recipe for dried tomatoes for winter on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes
- salt
- Provencal herbs
- garlic
- olive oil
Method of preparation:
1. Start by cutting the tomatoes in half or into four pieces. Sprinkle with salt and herbs.
2. Pace them in a dehydrator and dry the vegetables at 65 degrees for 4-6 hours. You can also them dry in the oven at 70-100 degrees for 6-7 hours. Stir the tomatoes from time to time and open the door to let the excess moisture out.
3. Put a few cloves of garlic at the bottom of the jar and dry tomatoes on top.
4. Fill the jars with olive oil so that it covers the content completely. Cover with lids and store in a cool place.
