How to pickle onions for kebabs and salads quickly and deliciously
Pickled onions are not only tasty but also a very healthy snack. They are used as an independent dish, and even more often as a marinade for salads and barbecue.
One of the culinary blogs (zhuravlina_cooking) published a recipe for a versatile pickled onion on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- red onions - 5 pcs.
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1-2 tsp
- apple cider vinegar-- 60 ml
- boiling water
- grain mustard - 1 tsp.
- black peppercorns - 5 peas
Method of preparation:
1. Peel onions and cut them into rings. Put them in any convenient container.
2. Add salt, sugar, black pepper, mustard and vinegar. Pour boiling water so that it completely covers the vegetable. Stir.
3. Put the marinated onions in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
