How to marinate herring deliciously for sandwiches: it's very quick to prepare

It is best to pickle herring at home, because it is both tastier and safer. It gives the fish a rich, spicy flavor. To do this, you need simple spices and lemon.

The idea of cooking pickled herring was published on the Instagram page of food bloggerMyroslava Krutii (miroslavakrutii). This fish makes delicious sandwiches.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pcs. salted herring fillets
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 onions
  • bay leaves
  • allspice
  • odorless oil

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the herring fillet into portions.

2. Cut herring into rings and onion into rings.

3. Put herring, lemon, onion, bay leaves and pepper in layers in a jar. There should be a lemon on top.

4. Pour oil to the very top.

5. If you put it tightly, it will not take much oil.

6. Put in the refrigerator for two days at least.

7. Store in the refrigerator.
