How to make homemade tomato ketchup: the best recipe for winter

Homemade natural ketchup is a safe alternative to bought sauce. It is very easy to prepare it at home. For a bright flavor, ketchup can be supplemented with apples and peppers, as well as spicy spices.

Foodblogger Xenia with the nickname ksy.gapin on her Instagram page shared a recipe for tomato ketchup with apples.

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes - 3 kg
  • apples - 1.5 kg
  • red bell pepper - 10 pcs
  • garlic - 3-4 cloves
  • hot pepper - 0.5-1 kg
  • sugar - 400 g
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp.
  • cloves - 3-4 pcs
  • cinnamon - 2 sticks
  • salt

Method of preparation:

1. First you need to rinse and peel vegetables and apples. After that, grind everything because of the meat grinder and transfer the mass into a saucepan.

 

4. After that, you need to take out the cinnamon and cloves from the sauce. Beat the mass with a blender until homogeneous.

5. Pour the resulting mass into jars and seal with lids. Done!
