How to make crispy pies without dough: a simple recipe with pita bread
Lately, pita bread has become indispensable. It is used to make not only shawarma and various rolls but also cakes, pies, and breakfasts.
Food blogger Olha Ryabenko went even further. On her Instagram, she shared how to make crispy and delicious pies using pita bread instead of dough.
Ingredients
- tortilla - 4 pcs
- eggs -5 pcs +
- milk + 1 egg for greasing
- canned tuna - 200 gr
- tomato - 1 pc
- green onion - 20 gr
- mozzarella - 100 gr
- sour cream - 2 tbsp
- salt
- pepper
- sesame seeds or flax seeds
- flour - 2 tbsp
- water - 4-5 tbsp.
How to cook
1.Cut tortilla sheets in half.
2. Mix flour with water.
3. Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a separate container.
4. Roll the halves of the tortilla sheet into cones.
5. Put the filling into the cones and seal the edges with a mixture of flour and water.
6. Grease the future pies with egg and milk and put them in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
