If you're not entirely sure about the quality of store-bought butter or if the price is just too high, as is often the case, you can easily make it at home with just one ingredient.
Food blogger Maria Salei (mashka_salei) shared how to make one-ingredient butter at home on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cream/sour cream
Method of preparation:
1. Pour cream or sour cream into a 1.5-liter bottle.
2. Close the bottle and whisk until smooth and thick. If you use cream, the process takes about 7 minutes.
3. Next, squeeze the butter out of the bottle and place it in ice water. Let it stand for a while.
4. Squeeze the butter, shape it, put it in a container or on parchment, and put it in the refrigerator to harden.

- It takes about 7 minutes to make butter from store-bought cream, and 10 minutes or more if you use homemade cream.
- Cream or sour cream should be at room temperature for making butter.
