How to make a delicious carrot dessert: it always turns out lush
Carrots are a very budget-friendly and healthy base for many desserts. They can even be used to make sweet pudding. To make it lush, you should use the steaming technique.
The idea of steamed carrot pudding was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena Olshevska with the nickname cookandshare.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese – 500 g
- carrots – 2 large pieces
- eggs – 1/2 pc
- sour cream – 3 tbsp
- sugar 2 tbsp + vanilla
- raisins
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the cottage cheese. Peel the carrots, boil them, and grate on the smallest grater (not the one with sharp edges).
2. Combine carrots with grated cottage cheese, add sugar, salt, egg yolks and mix.
3. Soak the raisins in strong alcohol, squeeze them out, and add them to the dough or put them on top. Then gently fold in the whipped egg whites.
4. Put the prepared mass in a mold greased with butter, level it, grease with sour cream and sugar, cover, put in a saucepan with a little hot water, and steam until tender for about 20 minutes.
