How to cook stuffed peppers without excess fat: a dish for a hearty lunch
Stuffed peppers are the perfect dish for a balanced and satisfying lunch, especially if you put meat filling inside. To avoid excess fat, use regular tomato sauce for the filling.
The idea of cooking a hearty stuffed pepper for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Mariana with the nickname hotuyte_ta_smakuyte.
Ingredients:
- bell peppers - 10 pcs.
- rice - 1 cup (boil in 2 cups of water)
- onion - 1 pc
- carrots - 1-2 pcs
- minced meat - 300 g
- salt, pepper, spices, seasoning
Ingredients for the filling:
- water - 2 cups
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp
- salt
- sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Mix boiled rice, fried onions, carrots, minced meat, spices and your favorite seasonings.
2. Wash peppers and cut off the caps.
3. Remove seeds and press the filling inside.
4. Fry in a pan.
5. Pour tomato paste dissolved in water. Simmer under a closed lid for 30 minutes.
Serve with sour cream.
