How to cook duck with plums: the meat is very soft and juicy
Baked duck is an ideal dish for cozy family dinners. And in the fall, this meat can be cooked with plums. The fruit is very juicy and will give the duck a pleasant sweet and sour taste.
- duck - 1 kg
- onion - 1 pc
- carrot - 1 pc
- celery - 0.5 branches
- plums - 300-350 g
- thyme, oregano - 0.5 tsp.
- chili - 1/3 tsp (you can put a whole pepper)
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the duck into medium slices, cut the onion into half rings, carrot into cubes, celery into slices.
2. Put the meat and vegetables in layers in a convenient dish (cauldron, saucepan).
3. Pour water (so that it does not cover the food) and put on medium heat for an hour.
4. Add spices, salt, and stir.
5. Put the plums on top (do not stir), cover, reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 40-45 minutes.
6. Put on a plate and pour the sauce over it.
