Stewed sauerkraut is the most delicious appetizer. It is very juicy and soft. However, there is one secret to cooking this dish which you should definitely use. It is also very important to choose the right meat.
The idea of cooking stewed cabbage was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Khrystyna with the nickname kristy_cookery. The vegetable should be stewed in the oven, not on the stove. It is also great to cook it with juicy ribs.
Ingredients:
- sauerkraut
- onion - 1 large
- large ribs - 4 pcs. (marinade: salt, pepper, dry garlic, mustard)
- tomato paste - 3 tbsp
- dry red paprika
- bay leaves - 5 pcs.
- peppercorns
Method of preparation:
1. Place ribs in the mold.
2. Finely chop onion.
3. Mix with rinsed sauerkraut.
4. Put on the ribs.
5. Dissolve tomato paste and paprika in water.
6. Pour over the dish.
7. The liquid should cover half of the mold. Add bay leaves.
8. Bake at 180 degrees for 1-1.5 hours (the liquid should evaporate and the cabbage should be dry).
9. You can also add a little ready-made bacon if you like.
