How to cook carrots to make them delicious and healthy: recipe in a pan
Typically, carrots are added to first courses or salads, but the vegetable can be cooked in a pan too. The right spices and frying oil can help you maximize the benefits of carrots. The only thing is that it needs to be properly prepared for cooking.
Food blogger Oksana (oksana_kretsul) shared a recipe and explained how to cook carrots in a pan in a tasty and healthy way on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- frozen baby carrots or fresh carrots
- salt, pepper
- smoked paprika
- olive oil
- Ghee oil
- honey
- sesame seeds
Method of preparation:
1. Pour boiling water over carrots and boil for 2-3 minutes.
2. Melt butter and olive oil in a frying pan.
3. Add carrots to the pan. Add salt, pepper and paprika. Simmer over high heat.
4. After the carrots are well fried, add honey. Cook for another 1 minute.
5. Add sesame seeds when done cooking. Let it brew for 5-10 minutes.
