If you're still hungry after eating a plain omelet, make it more filling. Namely, add pita bread. The mass will hold perfectly. In addition, such a breakfast will give you energy until lunchtime.
The idea of making an omelette in pita bread was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yana Bardych (yana_bardych).
Ingredients:
- 2 round pita breads (you can also use square, not round, then 1 pc)
- 3 eggs
- 80 ml of milk
- greens
- cheese
- spices - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Beat the eggs, add milk, and spices (alternatively, salt, pepper, scrambled egg seasoning, and granulated garlic for flavor).
2. Finely chop the herbs (parsley, dill, green onions), add them to the egg-milk mixture, and mix well.
3. Heat a frying pan, grease it with a little oil (if you use too much, the pita will turn out greasy) and put the pita bread, pour the egg-milk mixture on top, cover with another pita bread. If you have a regular pita instead of a round one, put it on the bottom in the same way, pour the egg-milk mixture over it, and cover it with the edges hanging off the pan.
4. Cover the pan with a lid.
5. Fry on a little less than medium heat until the pita bread is browned (I won't tell you the exact time, because everyone has different tiles and cooking speeds).
6. Turn over and grate cheese on top, cover again.
7. The omelet may puff up a bit – this is normal.
8. When the cheese is melted and the pita bread is browned on the other side, the omelet is ready.
