The liver has a rather dense texture and bitter taste. Therefore, you need to know how to cook this product properly. Apples are ideal for this purpose. They will give off their natural sweet flavor, and neutralize the unpleasant odor and bitterness.

The idea of cooking juicy chicken liver with apples was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia with the nickname zefirok_for_you.

Ingredients:

  • chicken liver – 400 g
  • apples – 2 pcs.
  • onions – 2 pcs.
  • flour – 2-3 tbsp.
  • oil for frying
  • smoked paprika – 1 tsp.
  • salt, pepper – to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the apples into rings, remove the centers, and fry in a frying pan on both sides in vegetable oil. Transfer to a plate.

2. In the same skillet, in the same oil, fry the onion rings over moderate heat, and then the liver (peeled from the films and fat) over low heat, breaded in flour.

3. When everything is ready, put the liver in a frying pan, pepper, salt, and add paprika. Next, add the apples and onions, mixing gently without damaging the apple rings.

4. Heat for two to three minutes.

5. Ideally, serve the dish with mashed potatoes.
