Homemade tartar sauce is a versatile addition not only to fish but also to meat, salads, shawarma, and pizza. You can prepare it in 5 minutes with sour cream or mayonnaise, and add pickled cucumbers, preferably lightly salted, to spice it up.
Food blogger Tetiana (mama_na_kykhne) shared a recipe for tartar sauce with mayonnaise, sour cream and cucumber on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- pickled cucumber
- mayonnaise
- sour cream
- garlic (optional)
- mustard (optional)
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cucumber and put it in the blender bowl.
2. Add sour cream and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth.
3. Optionally, add chopped herbs and mustard.
