Fried pies will be crispy and fluffy: what dough to use
Flavorful fried pies are a truly home-cooked dish. It's delicious to put potato filling inside and eat it in a bite with tomato juice. To make the products crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, use the following dough preparation technique.
The idea of making crispy pies with potatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Mariia Khrypko (masha_hrypko__). The base is milk.
Ingredients:
- 200 ml of milk
- 350 g of flour
- 1 tsp of dry yeast
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 egg
- 30 g of butter
Method of preparation:
1. For the dough, mix warm milk, 2 tbsp of flour, sugar and yeast and leave for a few minutes.
2. Then add the rest of the flour, egg, salt, butter and knead the dough with a spoon.
3. Leave for an hour in the heat.
4. Form into balls.
5. Flatten each one and fill with mashed potatoes and dill.
6. Fry on both sides in oil.
