For soup and borscht: a delicious cabbage pie in a hurry
Cabbage can be used to make not only delicious cabbage rolls and salad, but also a simple pie. It's easy to prepare, and it's best to use kefir as a base to make the pastry soft and fluffy. The pie can be eaten instead of bread and served with borscht or soup.
Food blogger Yulia Fedorenko (fedorenko_pp) shared a recipe for kefir cabbage pie on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 300 g
- salt
- kefir - 200 ml
- eggs - 1 pc
- baking powder - 0.5 tsp
- flour - 120 g
- hard cheese - 50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the cabbage and salt. Mash it lightly with your hands to release the juice.
2. Separately, mix the kefir, egg and salt, stir.
3. Add flour and baking powder, mix well.
4. Add grated hard cheese, mix well.
5. Pour into a mold and bake at 180 degrees 45 minutes.
