The strawberry season is upon us. This bright berry can be the basis for homemade baked goods, exquisite desserts, refreshing drinks, compote, and fragrant jam. Other berries and fruits - blueberries, banana or orange, as well as mint and even chocolate - will perfectly complement the preserves.
Foodblogger Elena Sagun(olena_sagun) on her Instagram page shared a recipe for fragrant jam from strawberries and rhubarb, which will be brightly flavored with pieces of tea rose.
Ingredients:
- rhubarb - 200 g
- strawberries - 200 gr
- sugar - 200 g
- tea rose - 15-20 pcs
Method of preparation:
1. First, you need to prepare the ingredients. Namely, cut the rhubarb into cubes, the strawberries - randomly, remove the petals from the rosebuds.
2. Put the strawberries and rhubarb in a saucepan, add the sugar and place over a medium heat.
3. When the rhubarb and strawberries are juicing, add the rose petals. Stir and cook over a low heat until the jam starts to thicken.
4. When the jam thickens, you need to take it off the fire. Next, everything according to your taste: you can eat the dessert as soon as it cools, pour it into a jar and store it in the fridge or in the cellar for the winter.
