Ingredients for the filling

  • Sauerkraut - 1.5 kg
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Tomato puree - 260 g

Ingredients for the dough

  • Kefir or sour cream - 400 ml
  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Flour - 250 g
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp.

Method of preparation of the filling

1. Finely chop the onion and fry it.

2. Add the cabbage and tomato puree.

3. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir 3-4 times during this time.

Method of cooking the cake

1. Add eggs to the kefir at room temperature.

2. Mix the flour, salt and baking powder separately and add to the kefir mixture. Stir until smooth.

3. Pour half of the dough into a greased baking dish, put the filling on top and cover with the other half of the dough.
