Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert that is a mixture of various berries, whipped cream and meringue. Most often, strawberries are used to make it.
Food blogger Valentyna Kushch shared on her Instagram how to make Eton Mess. She also added that this dessert is also called "Eton confusion" or "Eton mass".
Ingredients for 3 servings
- Egg white- 100 gr
- Powdered sugar - 200 gr
- Starch - 10 grams
- Salt - a pinch
- Cream cheese - 150 g
- Fatty cream - 100 g
- Berries to taste
Method of preparation
1. Mix the egg white with a pinch of salt and start beating with a mixer at low speed, gradually increasing it.
2. As soon as the foam appears, gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until steady peaks.
3. Put the meringue on a baking sheet covered with parchment and bake at 90 degrees for about 1.5 hours.
4. Take out the finished meringue and chop it randomly.
5. Prepare the cream by whipping cream cheese and cream together.
6. Immediately before serving, mix the crushed meringue with the cream and berries and taste immediately.
