Elementary fluffy pie with cherries: frozen berries will do

Pie is a great option for a simple dessert for tea. The filling can be different: from jam to fruit and berries. Moreover, even frozen berries are suitable. The main thing is to make a good dough.

Food blogger Oksana Pashko shared a recipe for a simple cherry pie on her YouTube channel (Cooking with Oksana Pashko), the dough for which is simple and made with kefir. Thanks to this base, the pie always turns out fluffy and soft.

Ingredients:

  • canned cherries - 200 g
  • wheat flour - 180 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • sugar - 150 g
  • kefir - 150 ml
  • butter - 120 g
  • corn flour - 70 g
  • baking powder for the dough - 2 tsp.
  • Powdered sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. In a bowl, mix two types of flour and baking powder.

2. Mix butter, sugar and salt separately. Beat with a mixer until fluffy and light.

3. Add one egg at a time to the butter mixture, continuing to beat.

4. Pour kefir into the resulting mass. Mix and immediately pour into the flour mixture. Mix the dough with a mixer until smooth.

5. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour. Pour half the batter, put the cherries and pour the rest of the batter on top.

6. Bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

7. Cool the finished cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
