Easier than pie: how to make a delicious apple strudel
Apple desserts are the best option for a delicious, winter treat for tea or coffee. One of these is strudel, which can be made from different doughs: puff pastry, phyllo or unleavened dough, and even pita bread. This is a delicious homemade pastry that is easy and quick to prepare, and most importantly, with a minimum of ingredients.
Food blogger Yulia (cooking_by_yuliya) shared a recipe for homemade apple strudel on her Instagram page, which can be eaten during Lent.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- warm water - 110 ml
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- flour - 200 g
- vinegar - 1\2 tsp.
Filling:
- apples
- nuts
- raisins
- sugar
- cinnamon
- a little semolina or breadcrumbs
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the dough, mix all the ingredients and knead an elastic soft dough that will not stick to your hands. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it for 30 minutes.
2. To prepare the filling, chop the apples and chop the nuts. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix.
3. Stretch the finished dough thinly with your hands and place it on a floured towel.
4. Put the filling on one side and lightly grease the empty part of the dough with vegetable oil. Wrap it in a roll. Brush the top with oil.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for 60 minutes.
