Easier than grated: how to make a delicious apple pie
Apple pie is the simplest homemade pastry that can be prepared in different ways: with or without dough, with pita bread, with custard and meringue.
One of the culinary blogs (vistovska_cooking) on Instagram published a recipe for an apple pie based on shortbread crumbs and apple filling.
The dough
- eggs - 1 pc
- sugar - 80 g
- butter - 100 g
- flour - 280 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
The filling:
- apples - 5 medium
- sugar - 80 g
- butter - 20 g
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the filling, melt the sugar, then immediately add the butter and chopped apples. Stew all together for about 7 minutes.
2. To make the dough, mix the egg, sugar and vanilla sugar.
3. Add the soft butter. Mix well.
4. Add the sifted flour and baking powder. Grind to a state of crumbs.
5. Pour most of the dough into a parchment-lined mold. Tamp it down and form a crust.
6. Put the filling and sprinkle the rest of the dough on top.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Then cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
