Don't throw yesterday's buckwheat away: a recipe for a hearty dish
If you have ready-made cold buckwheat that you cooked yesterday, you shouldn't throw it away. The cereal can be a great base for a full hearty meal. The technology is inexpensive and you can do it very quickly.
The idea of a hearty buckwheat dish was shared on Instagram by food blogger Daryna with the nickname recepti_dariko. The cereal can be used to make delicious buckwheat pancakes in a frying pan.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 700-800 g
- buckwheat (if raw - 1 cup)
- eggs - 2 pcs
- onion - 1 pc
- salt, pepper, dry garlic
- breadcrumbs
- oil for frying
Ingredients for the sauce:
- tomato paste - 70 g
- tomato juice - 600 ml
- carrots - 1 pc
- salt and pepper
- fresh herbs and sour cream for serving
Method of preparation:
1. Mix buckwheat with minced meat
2. Add the onion beaten in a blender.
3. Whisk eggs.
4. Add salt, pepper and dry garlic.
5. Mix everything well.
6. Heat a frying pan with oil.
7. With wet hands, form the buckwheat pancakes and roll them in breadcrumbs.
8. Put in a frying pan and fry on both sides for 5 minutes.
9. Fry the carrots in the frying pan with the buckwheat or in a clean frying pan and add 70 grams of tomato paste.
10. Stir, sauté for a few minutes and add salt.
11. Pour in tomato juice and simmer for 10 minutes.
12. Add the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes after boiling under the lid.
13. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve with sour cream.
