Cucumbers with turmeric for the winter: crispy and juicy
To make canned cucumbers crispy and the marinade not cloudy, you should use the following cooking technique. The main ingredient for this appetizer is turmeric. It perfectly preserves the elasticity of the vegetable and the beautiful color of the marinade.
The idea of making crispy cucumbers with turmeric for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Oksana Dorosh (oksana_dorosh_rezeptu). The preservation is perfectly stored throughout the winter.
1. Wash the cucumbers and leave them in cold water for 2 hours.
2. Then drain the water and cut the cucumbers into thin strips.
3. Put 0.5 liters of jar on the bottom:
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard seeds
- 2 pieces of allspice
4. Put the sliced cucumbers in a jar, pour the marinade to the very top.
Method of preparation of the marinade (for 6 jars of 0.5 liters):
- 1 liter of water
- 200 g of sugar
- 2 tsp of salt
Cooking method:
1. Put on the fire, heat until the sugar dissolves, add 200 ml of vinegar 9% and 1 tsp with a dash of turmeric. Mix everything thoroughly and remove from heat.
2. Sterilize 0.5 liter jar for 7 minutes.
