Creamy corn soup: the perfect first course
Creamy corn soup is created for lovers of unusual recipes. Tender sweet corn with cream or melted cheese is an incredible combination that everyone will love, and even children will enjoy it.
Food blogger Daria (recepti_dariko) shared a recipe for creamy corn soup on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- corn kernels – 300 g
- processed cheese – 2 packs
- potatoes – 3 pcs.
- carrots – 1 pc.
- onion – 1 pc.
- butter – 20 g
- herbs
- salt
- bay leaves
- peppercorns
Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare some vegetables, namely grate the carrots, and cut the potatoes into cubes.
2. Next, melt the butter in a saucepan. Immediately after that, add and lightly fry the carrots until soft.
3. Add potatoes, and whole onions to the carrots and cover with water (about 1.5 liters). Cook the soup, periodically removing the foam.
4. Season with salt, bay leaves and pepper.
5. When the potatoes are almost done, add the corn. Remove the onion and discard it. It will not be needed anymore.
6. Meanwhile, grate the processed cheeses. Add them after the soup boils. Then continue cooking over medium heat until the cheese is melted.
7. When serving, sprinkle the soup with herbs.
