Cottage cheese dough bagels: a recipe without milk, yeast and eggs
Bagels are delicious homemade pastries that can be made with various fillings: poppy seeds, cherries, apples, jam, or chocolate, as well as different doughs: yeast, cottage cheese, puff pastry, phyllo, or custard.
Food blogger Oleksii Kriuchkov (kruchkov.food) shared a recipe for bagels made from all-purpose cottage cheese dough on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese 5% - 300 g
- powdered sugar - 30 g
- flour - 230-250 g
- butter - 100 g
- baking powder - 5 g
Use the filling as desired.
Method of preparation:
1. Mash soft butter lightly with a fork.
2. Add powdered sugar and cottage cheese. Beat with a blender until smooth.
3. Add the flour and baking powder to the mixture. Knead a soft dough. Divide it into two parts, wrap each in plastic wrap, and leave in the freezer for 30 minutes.
4. Then roll each part into a circle and divide it into 12 parts. Form bagels with the filling.
5. Bake the bagels at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
