Corn porridge on milk: how to cook without lumps

Corn porridge is very satisfying, tasty, and healthy. It can be prepared with water and milk, but to avoid lumps, it is important to use one life hack.

Food bloggerRoksolana Harasymiv (roksolana.harasymiv) shared a recipe for corn porridge with milk on her Instagram page. According to the recipe, the cereal does not need to be soaked. First, it should be boiled in water, and at the end of cooking, add milk.

Ingredients:

  • corn porridge
  • water
  • milk

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water over the corn porridge in a ratio of 1:2. Cook until tender.

2. Pour milk into the cooked porridge. Stir vigorously with a whisk until smooth and remove from heat.

Tip: Adding milk at the end of cooking is important if you are preparing porridge for a child. After all, prolonged heat treatment (especially if you use pasteurized or ultra-pasteurized milk) significantly reduces the content of useful properties of milk. And cow's milk, as a drink, is prohibited for children under one year.
