Cabbage soup will be hearty and rich: what meat to cook with
Cabbage soup is considered an authentic Ukrainian dish. It is based on homegrown vegetables such as potatoes and cabbage. Cereals are always added. It is also very important to add the right meat to make a rich broth.
The idea of cooking a delicious cabbage soup was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Vitalina with the nickname vitala_foodblog. The dish tastes best with pork ribs.
Method of cooking cabbage rolls
1. Cook the broth on pork ribs, with the addition of peppercorns, salt and bay leaves. Add a couple of peeled whole potatoes while cooking.
2. Fry: cut the smoked breast into large enough pieces, fry to melt the fat.
3. Add onions, carrots, and sauté.
4. Add sauerkraut and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
5. When the broth is cooked, take out the potatoes and mash them with a fork.
6. Add the chopped potatoes, roast, washed millet (a few handfuls), and mashed potatoes to the broth.
7. Cook until the potatoes are fully cooked.
8. Add vegetable seasoning and spicy seasoning at the end.
