Basic grated pie with frozen berries: instead of any cakes and cookies

A grated pie is a real godsend when you need to make something tasty for tea quickly. All that takes the most time is kneading the dough. Then you just need to grate it and combine it with the filling.

The idea of making a simple grated berry pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anastasia Baglay (nastya_food_baglay). You can use frozen fruits that are sure to be in your freezer.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • butter - 200 g
  • sugar - 200 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • salt - a pinch
  • flour - 450 g
  • baking powder - 10 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • frozen blueberries - 400-420 g
  • sugar - 100 g, if the berry is sour, 150 g
  • corn starch - 2 tbsp. without the mountain

Method of preparation:

1. Heat the butter at room temperature so that it can be mashed with a fork or warmed up a little in the microwave.

2. Add sugar and salt to the butter, stir, add eggs, mix thoroughly, beat with a blender until smooth for about 20 seconds.

3. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the butter, mix with a fork, then with your hands.

4. Divide the dough into two parts, put 1/3 of the dough in the freezer, the rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

5. Mix the frozen blueberries with the starch. You can add sugar immediately or later.

6. While the dough is in the fridge, stir in the blueberries periodically.

7. Roll out the dough immediately on parchment - so it's easy to transfer to a baking sheet, not too thin and thick.

8. Put the blueberries, sprinkle with sugar, grate the dough from the freezer.

9. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
