Ingredients for caramel

Sugar – 150 gr

Boiling water – 50 ml

Lemon juice – ½ tsp.

Ingredients for the base

  • Very ripe bananas – 3 pcs
  • Ordinary bananas – 3 pcs
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Butter – 150 grams
  • Eggs – 2 pcs
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt – ½ cup
  • Flour – 2 cups
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Soda – ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon – ½ tsp
  • Chocolate granules – 1 cup

Method of preparation.

1. Cover the baking dish with parchment and grease it with butter.

2. Cut the bananas lengthwise and put them in the mold.

3. Prepare the caramel. Pour sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add hot water and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, and stirring constantly, wait until the caramel has a nice golden color. It will take about 10 minutes.

4. Pour the caramel over the bananas.

5. Prepare the dough. Mash three ripe bananas well with a fork, add sugar, and mix.

6. Add butter, sour cream, eggs and mix.

7. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and mix well again.

8. Pour in the chocolate and stir to distribute it well over the dough.

9. Pour the batter into the mold with the bananas and place in a 180-degree oven for 45-50 minutes.

10. Let it cool for 15 minutes. Carefully separate the edges from the mold with a knife. Put a plate on the mold and carefully turn it over.
