Baklava-inspired banana cupcake: add more nuts and the taste will be unsurpassed
Baklava is a confection made from puff pastry and drizzled with syrup, a popular oriental dish.
Based on this particular dish, Valentyna Kushch decided to make a banana cupcake. The food blogger shared how she did it and what the result was on Instagram.
Ingredients
- Nuts (almonds, walnuts, peanuts or hazelnuts, or a mixture) - 300 g
- Butter - 100 g
- Cinnamon
Ingredients for the dough
- Flour - 250 g
- Banana - 3 pcs.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Sugar - 150 g
- Butter - 120 g
- Soda - 1 tsp
- Baking powder - 5 g
Ingredients for the syrup
- Honey - 50 g
- Water - 100 ml
Method of preparation
1. Fry the nuts a little and chop them randomly. Add 100 grams of melted butter and cinnamon. Mix well.
2. Prepare the dough. Beat butter with sugar until white. Add the eggs one by one and beat.
3. Add the mashed banana and beat again. Next, flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well.
4. Grease the mold with butter and sprinkle with flour, or simply cover with parchment.
5. Put the nut mixture on the bottom, then the dough. Bake at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
6. Let the finished cupcake cool for 20 minutes and pour over the syrup.
