To prevent baked potatoes from being dry, cook them with bacon fat. It will give the vegetable enough fat and the dish will turn out just perfect. And if you need to do everything very quickly, use the following idea, for which you don't need to peel the potatoes.
The idea of making accordion baked potatoes with bacon was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia Senych (yuliia.senych). Be sure to add flavorful garlic sauce.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 4 pcs.
- lard – 150 g
- garlic – 2 cloves
- spices: paprika, red pepper, black pepper, salt
- oil (preferably homemade flavored) – 4 tbsp.
- greens – optional
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the potatoes and cut them into rings, but not all the way through.
2. Put in a baking dish lined with foil.
3. Mix the oil with grated garlic and spices.
4. Brush the potatoes well with the oil sauce.
5. Cut the bacon into thin slices.
6. Put lard in the cuts and brush with oil again.
7. Put it in a preheated 180-degree oven for at least an hour.
8. Sprinkle with herbs at the end.
