In addition to traditional kebabs on skewers, you can also make this dish in pita bread. To do this, you will need regular minced meat and lots of vegetables. The meat should be wrapped in pita bread and fried over a fire. This dish will be a great addition to your family barbecue.

The idea of cooking kebabs in pita bread was shared by Olha Riabenko (olga_riabenko_), a super finalist of the MasterChef project, on Instagram. The cook prepared the dish together with the famous Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo.

Ingredients:

  • bell pepper - 2 pcs.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • parsley - 50 g
  • minced pork and beef - 1 kg.
  • pita bread - 2 pcs.
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Dice pepper and onion.

2. Chop parsley.

3. Mix the vegetables with minced meat.

4. Add parsley, salt and pepper.

5. Spread the meat mixture over the pita bread and roll it.

6. Cut the roll into portions.

7. Put them on a skewer.

8. Fry on hot coals until cooked.
