A hearty potato casserole for lunch for the whole family: easy to prepare
Everyone definitely has potatoes at home. So if you need to quickly prepare a hearty meal, you can use the vegetable for a simple casserole. It will be delicious if you add some mushrooms and cheese.
The idea of cooking a hearty potato casserole for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna with the nickname anna.demirel. It takes a maximum of half an hour to bake.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 1 kg
- mushrooms (champignons) - 450-500 g
- onion - 250 g
- milk - 200 ml
- butter - 2 tbsp
- garlic - 4 cloves
- eggs - 2 pcs
- hard cheese 80 + 100 g
- cream 1 tbsp
- oil
- spices
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes and boil in salted water.
2. Cut the onion into small cubes, mushrooms into slices.
3. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent, add mushrooms, salt and spices.
4. Fry together for 10-15 minutes.
5. When the potatoes are cooked, drain and mash with a fork or pestle and butter.
6. Next, beat the potatoes with a whisk or with a planetary mixer, gradually pouring in the hot milk.
7. Then beat the eggs, and if the potato mass is no longer hot, add a little egg, then grated cheese (80 g), cream, salt and black pepper, and beat everything until smooth.
8. Grease the baking dish with butter.
9. Pour half of the mashed potatoes on the bottom, then put the mushroom filling, then the rest of the mashed potatoes and grated cheese 100 g on top.
10. Bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
