On Tuesday, March 19, the legendary Ukrainian poet and writer Lina Kostenko celebrates her 94th birthday. An unexpected gift for the sixty-dissident and the entire Ukrainian people was the reading of her iconic poem "Wings" by the famous British actress Emma Thompson.
The two-time Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA winner recited the poem in English, which is known to every Ukrainian. She recorded the video specifically for the UNITED24 platform.
