The finalist of the National Selection for Eurovision 2024, singer Maksym Derevianchuk, better known as DREVO, commented on Tina Karol's participation in the National Selection for Eurovision 2025, who will act as the show's music producer. According to the musician, Dmytro Shurov (Pianoboy) is a better candidate for this position than the artist.

Derevyanchuk shared his opinion in the Weekend Show studio on M1. "I was a little upset, you know, but it's okay – Tina Karol is Tina Karol," the singer said. The guest believes that Shurov has more experience, as he was the producer of the National Selection and Eurovision 2023, despite the fact that the singer represented Ukraine at the song contest in 2006.

"She (Tina Karol – Ed.) is not a musician. Dmytro Shurov is a musician, but she is not," Derevianchuk continued, "Not all of her songs are her own. If I'm not mistaken, Tina Karol has always had sound producers."

In September 2024, it became known that the new music producer of this year's National Selection was singer Tina Karol, who represented Ukraine at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Show Me Your Love. "I am glad to join the team of the National Selection for Eurovision and to have the opportunity to support both those who are making their first steps and those who are returning to the National Selection stage again. I am sure that this year we will see a lot of bright performers," the singer commented.
