"I'm subject to mobilization": a well-known Ukrainian presenter confessed that she is ready to fight at the front, just like her husband

Famous Ukrainian TV presenter Valentyna Khamayko has made a surprising confession: she is subject to mobilization and has military knowledge. The star has a medical degree, which could be useful at the front. That is why she has repeatedly thought about going to the battlefield.
However, Hamayko is also a mother of many children, raising four minor children. At the moment, she is doing this on her own, as her husband, businessman Andriy Onistrat, is on the front line defending Ukraine from the occupiers with arms in hand. The celebrity shared her thoughts and experiences in an interview with Afisha.bigmir.net.
"If I did not have children, I would be with my husband at the front. In fact, as a doctor, I am subject to mobilization because I have both military knowledge and medical education. And now, when there is information that women will be mobilized, I realize that theoretically I can be among them. But the presence of four minor children delays me. However, we also had a conversation with the children that if it were not for their age, I would be with my husband. It's logical," the journalist said.
Hamayko also admits that it is difficult for her to be separated from her beloved and raise her children on her own. However, the most difficult stage has already passed. It started when Andriy first went to the front. Valentyna did not want to let him go, but he went to the military enlistment office without warning.
"For more than a month I could not accept the situation internally. I was very angry with my husband, there were even moments when I didn't want to call him. I was angry that he didn't talk to me about it, because I could have prepared myself mentally for it. He should have talked to me, but he was probably afraid and perhaps hesitated to make this decision himself, because it was quite difficult for him. That's why it happened. He didn't ask me, he left, and it took me a long time to adapt to the situation and accept it. There were tears, emotional conversations, many difficult questions that my husband did not want to answer. It's painful for me because these questions bother me too," the host said.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukrainian theater and film actress Daria Leheida also admitted that she thinks about joining the Armed Forces every day and defending her country with arms in her hands. The star of the TV series Serfdom, Saga, and others assured that she is mentally ready for this, but her health does not allow her to go to the front.
