Galkin supported Ukraine on the anniversary of the full-scale war: For three years, I have been trying to enlighten my compatriots
Russian comedian and TV host Maxim Galkin, who has been openly opposing the Kremlin's military actions since February 24, 2022, expressed solidarity with Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. All this time, he has been trying almost daily to "reach" his compatriots, but all in vain.
On his Instagram page, Galkin posted an emotional appeal in which he noted that he has been trying to support Ukrainians and make Russians realize the tragedy that their country brought to Ukrainian soil for three years. "1097 days," he began to express his thoughts.
"Three years ago, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine. Endless days of grief and death destroyed Ukrainian cities and mutilated nature... All this time, I have been trying to support Ukrainians in their misfortune, trying to reason with my compatriots... I don't know what to write today... Where can I find words of comfort and hope? Let's remember the dead, let's remember the fallen for our land, and let's fight for the living," said Maxim Galkin.
From the very first days of the full-scale war, Maxim Galkin condemned the Kremlin's aggression, for which he was declared a "foreign agent" in Russia and effectively deprived of the opportunity to work in his homeland. Together with his wife, singer Alla Pugacheva, he fled the country and now lives abroad.
Despite this, he continues to openly express support for Ukrainians. In his speeches, Galkin has repeatedly emphasized that not all Russians support this war, but many are afraid to openly express their opinions because of harsh repression.
